I have both Altec Lansing Backbeat 903 and 906 models (903 was a present) and most people I talk with on the phone won't notice that I'm on BT.
I use them mostly for music and they have been solid even while working out and rock climbing.
One time they froze maybe due to interference and got stuck unusable but I reset it by holding power button and plugging to charger at the same time.
My only complain is that they tend to cut a little bit if you are jogging outdoors. But at the car, office, home and at my backpack while rock climbing they have been awesome.
Battery life is around 7 hours of continuous music or phone
