I just got my tracking number. It was shipped with the free standard overnight shipping (by 4:30PM insted of before noon). So no need to pay extra for something you get for free.
And yes, tracking numbers are 12 digits long for FedEx.
BTW, I think its time to move to the 8700 forum and get out of this rumor mill.
