Two 8300s

Apologies if this is a silly question.
My wife and I each own an 8300 but we only have one PC between us.
Do we each need to load the Blackberry software and Roxio CD that came with our 8300 on to the PC or will loading it once suffice? If so, does that mean that the software will ask for the 8300's password when connecting so that it will know which 8300 it is talking to?
