In my neverending quest to bankrupt myself I paid $549 with zero contract at the Branford, CT Cingular Corporate Store.
I inquired about the $499 MSRP and the rep could only find the $549. Then he looked at a stack of wall cards about to be posted and sure enough they had $549 as the no contract price printed on them.
I had called the Buckland Hills Mall, Manchester store and they also quoted $549 for the device.
Rather than drive all over - I took it for $549 which represents the no contract price.
