Default 8320, LogicMail and Opera

I just bought an unlocked 8320 and I am using it with my non-data T-mobile plan. I can connect fine to my Wi-Fi at home. I'm having trouble running LogicMail and Opera Mini. When I try to run it i get the error:
"the application XXX has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy."

I don't know if this is an error with the application, my phone or my Wi-Fi.

I've read a bunch on 'service books' and t-mobile's 'Blackberry Feature Enabler' but all those threads have been from 2009 and when I called T-mobile they said they don't have anything like this feature enabler anymore. Can anyone help?

Don't know if this will be of any help but under Host Routing Table in my settings there is nothing listen, should there be wap.voicestream.com listed there for things like this to work?
