Then your issue is probably that you have just done a device switch wizard from your old BB to the new one.
As much as we all love to easily do that. That is a big issue migrating to OS 7
What you need to do is backup your device using BlackBerry Desktop Manager, but in the back up process, do not select full backup, select the 2nd option which is custom then only select:
Contacts
Messages
BalackBerry Messenger
BBM Groups
Browser Bookmarks
SMS Messages
MMS Messages
Nothing else! Any imported apps, options, app permissions, handheld keystore, etc from OS 6 or OS 5 are not compatible with OS 7
Try again and I bet you it will make a night and day difference
After you have wiped and reinstalled OS 261, then restore back from DM again and start loading only the 100% compatible apps
