aiharkness, nobody needs a different device to achieve updated rendering.
Opera Mini is available for practically
any device and its rendering is always current because it displays pre-rendered pages generated by an Opera server. The caveat is that it only receives filetypes supported by that server.
I was using Opera Mini on BB3 with no BIS and no BES; and still use it today on BB10. Opera Mini is a quick easy fix for mobile browsing and its available on all stores (BlackBerry World, Play Store, etc.).
