I have downloaded version 4.2 of the Blackberry Desktop software, added SP1, and I want to use the Media Manager to upload some images, but when I connect the phone, run Desktop Manager and then click on Media Manager it says, "The connected Blackberry device does not support transferring media files. Verify that the device has BlackBerry Device software version 4.2 of later installed."

1. How do I verify that software is on the device and
2. How do I install 4.2 to the device if it's not the right version please?

Easy answer - the 7100 does not support v4.2 and will not.
There is no v4.2 for anything except the 8100 and 8800, and soon for the 8700.
