I was in the hospital most of October and while there I lost my BB9700. I'm pretty sure it was "bricked" in the hospital laundry. I tracked the phone calls for a couple of days after the loss before stopping all service. No other use ever showed up. I have a good backup of it made just before I went into the hospital. Since getting out I've resurrected my old 8820.

My question is: Is there a way to restore certain of my backed up 9700 data, like my Memoos, to my 8820? Alternatively, is there a utility that will read and extract data from a 9700 backup?
