Default Pearl w/ stereo bluetooth (A2DP)

Think they'll release an update for it to support A2DP? Or possibly only offer it with the 8800?

I haven't heard anything like that but anything is possible. I just several days ago, we found out that the 8800 will be able to record video.

Exclamation A2DP In Development?

I was on the phone with a senior technical specialist regarding another problem with my pearl a few days ago and asked about A2DP. He said that they are in final testing phase of an update to support A2DP. He couldn't give a timeline for realease, but it should be forthcoming.

Until then use a dongle...

I'm so fracking upset that the VERY first media centric BB device, the 8100 Pearl doesn't even support A2DP! Common RIM this isn't a security violating feature ... if anything this will enhance handsfree calling in a car!

My take > any RIM device with MicroSD or other memory card MUST/SHOULD have A2DP support. its got the BT v2.0 support just needs the profile stack but if the chip isn't capable of being upgraded then forget about it!
