I suspect this question has come up in a variety of ways but I couldn't seem to find anything specific.

I have an 8130 running OS 4.5.XX.89 with DTM 4.6

The 8130 operates on a corporate BES and is "paired" to my DTM

A friend who operates on the same BES has an 8310.

Am I able to install the 8310 OS on my PC and use my DTM to upgrade his BB OS with out disturbing my 8130 OS or set-up. In other words as long as I don't tell the DTM to "pair" with his BB can I still use it to upgrade the 8310 OS.

Yes. The "pair" isn't to Desktop Manager. It is to your BES.

Be VERY careful when asked if you want to switch BlackBerrys and reply "NO".

Yes that's what I meant "switch Blackberries - NO" - thanks
