offline gps application on sd card?

Hello there,
I am new on this forum, because I do not onw a blackberry.
I have rather unusual question I think:
Last week, on a hloiday in Ethiopia I was toured around by a great driver. he owns a blackberry, but all he does with it is call. The mobile network in Ethiopia is to slow to use the web applications.
The gps is functional though.
The driver was impressed by my garmin GPSMAP 76 CSX and asked if something like that is possible on his blackberry.
We went to the Hilton (everyone in Ethiopia uses gmail on public computers, only few people own a computer of their own) and tried to find some software. We found trekkingbuddy, bit we did not succeed in downloading. The web is far too slow, amongs other problems.
Now I am back in Holland and I wonder if I can help this nice driver by sending him a gps application on a micro-sd card.
he is not so good with computers, so the only way I can offer him help is by sending him a pre-programmed sd-card. So al he has to do, is to insert it in his blackberry. he can do that.
It would be a great gift for a driver in Addis to have a functional GPS; maybe even with a OSM map of Addis.
Can anyone help me with this? Is it possible to congigure a micro-sd so it can be inserted directly in teh Blackberry?
I do not knwo the type of blackberry. It uses 4.2 or 4.6 software (as I remeber it correctly) and it has a 3.2 mpix camera.
rgards
