Hey guys,

Kinda a noob here. I was wondering how I can check my KB usage on a VZW8830. I tried #data, or on this phone anyway #3282, but it says it's not a valid number. This phone has the global sim card in it by the way.

Any tips?

Go into the after market software section there is a program called minimoni that monitors data useage and it is free

Thanks, I downloaded the program for future reference. But I am hoping to find out how many KB I have already used this month, my first with the BB to gauge how close I am to my limit.

Any other ideas?

MiniMoni won't work as you have a CDMA phone, it only works on GSM phones, sorry, you're out of luck.

It will show on your bill, however if you need to check it in the middle of a cycle you call customer care and they will let you know, or I can look it up for you.

If you are on an unlimited Data plan why even worry about it. Even know its capped at 5gig I have never even come close and I download and surf and email constantly.

Im with Bell Mobility, and i send a blank txt msg to the number 82273. It comes back with options, one of which is monthly phone an data usage. Call Vz and ask them if they have anything like that.

You are my hero, I have been trying to figure out how to handle my data usage, also with Bell, and you just handed it to me!
