Please Login to Remove!

please helpppp. i have the blackberry curve 8320. i accidentely pressed reconcile now for your SMS messaging and i don't know how to undo it. it's really bothering me and i've tried to figure out how to undo but i couldn't. it automaticlly deletes your sent text messages right after It's not for email, it's for your outbox SMS messages.

What do you mean??? Reconcile doesn't hurt anything. Is there something wrong with the device?

i don't think so. when i clciked reconcile, it deletes all my sent messages as soon as i finish sending them. like it automaticlly deletes my sent text messages as soon as i finish sending them. it's making me really mad.

It sounds like you have hide sent messages set to Yes. Go into your inbox, press the menu key, select options > general options. What is hide sent messages set to?

no, i checked that. it's set to no. it's because i pressed reconcile now is why my sent messages are automaticlly deleted. i even checked my outbox and sent box for SMS. it says no messages.

Reconcile now would NOT do that. That is used for BES to reconcile the messages from the mailbox to the handheld.

What is your free memory on your device (Options > Status)?

Not in messages. From the home screen, go to your options icon.

Put all of your media onto a media card (videos, music, pictures) and pull then pull the battery out of the phone while its on to refresh its memory. I hafto do this about once every other day because I use my phone ALL the time. If this doesn't solve your problem, then follow the guide written by John Clark to fix your memory issues even further.

Yeah, that seems to be your culprit. You are low on memory. Try a battery pull and look at your memory again. You should see a dramatic increase.

When your device gets low on memory, it starts to delete messages, SMS, call logs to try to free up memory.

Try following these steps:

How do I free up memory on my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

Why is my BlackBerry losing its call logs or message logs? - BlackBerryFAQ
