Here is what I would like to see in future Storm s/w upgrades since this is an all new device for RIM.

1- when talking on the BB, you wont depress other buttons on the touch screen while you are talking

2- while the device is in horizontal mode, I would like to see the background photo show transparently through the icons like when it is vertical mode

I agree with those two, especially #1. I had just thought to myself that I have not read too much about peoples frustration of the screen while in a call. Now tonight I have read that in 2 different threads.

I would also add a quicker way to dial out. On my pearl, I could just start typing someone's name from my main screen and their contact info would pop up. Seem like too many steps to access a phone number.

I would like to be able to type with the TWO-LETTERs per key like the Pearl but Multitap not SureType. Right now the only way to type TWO-LETTERs per key is using SureType and I am wondering if there is going to be an Update/Upgrade to enable this function.

i would like to see text nav arrows
attempting to place the courser in the middle of text without any ability to move is close to imposable
just the ability to move up and down would even be a help

If you go into your home screen/options/screen keyboard/portrait view keyboard, you can change it to multi-tap as the default.

Maybe you will hate me.
But when in qwertz/y mode during create a message(mail/pin/sms..) it would be cool, if I would need to touch a letter, not press it.

That would be a bit faster or ?

restore the standby button/functionality like we had on the 8130.

it's a pain to input your password every time you put the phone in your pocket...
