It's not cheeky, it's downright rude to ask someone to just give you a new phone when the loss was probably preventable. It wouldn't have been so bad if you'd asked for an old 6230 or even a 7230/90, but the 8300 is a newish device that should be purchased. Regardless of the model of the device, you should have asked to buy one from somebody, not for them to just give it to you.

John, sorry to hear about your misfortune. Was that the 8300 with wi-fi and G3? (http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...pera-mini.html)

If it had GPS and Google Latitude, you could of had it auto login and always share your location with friends.

Then if the guy kept and used the phone withy your latitude account active, you'd possibly be able to find them.

Sorry bout your misfortune.

I don't know if robolock will work on the 8300 I know it works on the 8310. It works great and you still get messages if they change the sim. I know it doesn't help now but it may for future phone.

nope it didn't have GPS or google latitude. I cant believe somebody took it though because its a well respected gym in the uk and everybody trusts everybody in there which has really pissed me off!
