That is intentional in certain areas of the site to maintain the integrity of the transaction, a paper trail of sorts.

Almost, if not, all of the other sections of BBF are editable by the post author.

Great move I must say. But locking threads is wrong because people should immediately leave feedback in the thread and in the feedback subforum as well.

The thread isn't lock, the post is locked that you can't edit...it's so you can't post something then go back and edit it out

I was talking about when the buyer and seller exchange funds and products its locked before the buyer is able to respond. People would more likely check the thread itself then the marketplace.
