What are the dimensions needed to completely fill the home screen?

If you are referring to the 8310 in your profile, it is 320 x 240 pixels.

I am, sorry I forgot to include that.

But... that's it? <_<

Oh man. I am way off. I have a 1600x1200 image as my background since I thought that's what you needed. >____>

Okay, thanks.

My desktop doesn't even have that resolution. It's probably affecting your performance on the device too... such a large file for a background.

I dunno. But speaking of performance, does anyone know if they fixed the lag in Version 4.5 of the OS?

I noticed some lag when running 4.2 for awhile, but after updating, I noticed that my device runs a lot faster.

And... Is there an easier way to manage where things are on the device? It's a pain in the butt to move everything into folders manually. ._.

We are talking size not resolution, right? ANY photo will fit your Blackberry's screen: Any! Just email the photo to your Blackberry (as an attachment), open it and use it.

Well, I wanted to know the right resolution of the screen anyways.
Better to just make the image the right size than make it a random size and have it try to fit. <_<

In most cases size and resolution are the same on a computer, and on a Blackberry. Also the more pixels in a photo/image the larger the file. A 1600 x 1200 px. image is going to take up a lot of memory on the BlackBerry where as an image that's the same size as the screen display will take up much less memory.

Wallpaper sizes for BlackBerrys - BlackBerryFAQ

The sizes for the new models are:
Bold 480 x 320
Storm 360 x 480
8900 480 x 360
Pearl Flip 240 x 320

There are free programs than can resize an image for you, and photo imaging software that comes with a digi cam can do it also.
