I'm running the 9000 on 5.0.0.411 and some of the messaging shortcuts don't work.
For example, pressing "R" does not reply to an SMS text. It does, however, work for emails.

Is anyone else having such a problem? :(

This is because it is threaded. "R" will bring you to the text input field where you reply... It still works, the OS is just different
