Yesterday i did a OS reload on my pearl 8100 from the site of Blacberry solutions, to this version:-
* Applications: 4.5.0.55
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.68
The only trouble is, that the RED LED on top of the handset "SWITCHES - ON" after i have read an sms/email. untill the sms/email is unread on my handset, the led blinks with green light, but as soon as i read it, the red light turn on and stays on until i switch off and restart the handset.
can someone help me on this.

i am having the same problem... maybe we need to downgrade...

I also had this problem. If you have the application "ColorPearl" you need to remove it. That's whats causing it. Besides that, I don't know. :P

thanx mmbawlz. your idea worked. once i removed the software "color pearl" my prob was solved. Brilliant...
But a word of "CAUTION", if you are into a good score in brick breaker, dont remove the application, coz it will clear out your score (it happend with me, i had a score of above 600K which became nill once i removed the color pearl app).
