Ok so I have an awkward question here!
I'm planning to visit Moldova (Eastern Europe) and the Moldcell operator there said they have BIS but it's for Blackberry Bold Storm and Curve with OS 4.5 and they cannot guarantee that email, IM (other BIS) will work on my unlocked Verizon Tour OS 5.0?
Does somebody know if it would work or it wouldn't not?

Yes, it should work, as long as you remove your PIN from your Verizon carrier before you go so that the PIN is free to register with Moldcell.

And, I think you will need to have it unlocked for use on another carrier.

I don't know how to check if the phone is PIN free or not?! Please advise how to check this before I call VW.

You must call Verizon to make sure the PIN has been removed from the previous account.

Does this mean i'll have to end my account with Verizon?
I just called a guy from Global Support and he said I wouldn't be able to use BIS with another carrier since it will give a conflict with Verizon. I might be able to use only voice.

No, you just need to remove the PIN for that device from that Verizon account. You don't need to end your Verizon account.

Your other option is to use Verizon's Global Data service and you'll be fine in Moldvia, but you can't use the Moldva SIM card for calling and Verizon data for email, etc.

Thanks for the advices. You made it clear fro myself - unfortunately nobody at Verizon Global Support seems to know what is a PIN. Just unbelievable and very frustrating.

Yes, they know what a PIN is.
It is the alpha/numeric eight digit unique number for each BlackBerry.
