Yeah, with what was said at the SHM, and this article, along with the rumours. Keeps me hopeful. It's funny, a few weeks ago there was a small announcement that a few 3rd party apps were accessing (or will access) the Blackberry Messenger API. Allowing seamless integration (ScoreMobile for example)

Filescout announced that they have support for the BBM SDK. Allowing you to send files to any bbm contact from that app. They also recently released the SDKs (BBM Social 1.0) for java and Webworks. I know the PB hasn't seen much attention recently, but all these steps should be leading somewhere.

foursquare can use BBM not for status updates

I don't use foursquare. How does it interact with BBM? I know what four is supposed to do, just not sure I understand what it does in respect to BBM integration.

when you get to a place and enter it in, your BBM status is updated with the info like twitter would be.
