I am not able to download the app OTA (using BES). It fails after 50%-75% with following error message:
Invalid JAR File
Error 907
Can anyone help?

The demo only allows you to send 3 messages in total then it disables the ability to send messages. so its pretty useless for more than just seeing how it works.

I got IM+ successfully installed on my Blackberry at one point. It was either from midlet.org or j2me-software.com ... Not sure which of the two it was. I still preferred WebMessenger.

Try OTA download from:

Take Mark's advice and use the midlet.org link he's provided that one seems to work fine, at least it does for me.

Is anyone able to get this using the BB browser (no bes ) with the rbro trick enabled?

Only in these situations:

You need either:
(1) BES/MDS hosting service; or
(2) You are using Rogers BWC 4.0; or
(3) You are using a carrier that has enabled OTA downloads.
