Cool Blackberry 8700c randomly dialing telephone numbers while holstered

Please Login to Remove!

I recently (about 1 month ago) purchased a new 8700c thru AT&T, and have seemingly mastered all (at least most of) the features, and I am happy with this device. However, there is one "quirky" occurence which is driving me up a wall. While holstered...I have a third party leather swivel holster...my blackberry appears to randomly select some telephone number from my address book and dials it. (Totally unassisted). This happens periodically but not on a regular basis, and never at the same time of day or night.

Does anyone out there have an idea as to why this is happening...but more importantly..how to stop it?

I would appreciate your advice and counsel.

Regards,
Dave K.

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

Do you lock your keyboard when the bb is holstered? Do you have dialing from homescreen enabled? Do you have contacts in your quick dial list?

My guess is that the bb isn't locked and some buttons are being pressed and that is why it is calling out.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Just make sure your device is locked.

Thanks Wingrider78 and akosnitzky. I never even considered that as an option. I have just locked the BB and will see if I can magically stop calling my friends and associates.
