Default Advantage in upgrading?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey folks,

My OS is currently at 4.1 but I'm thinking of bumping it up to 4.2 for the facebook app. It's not something i need but it would be cool to have.

What are other advantages to bump up my OS to 4.2 and how difficult is it to do so? I have JiveTalk and a couple games , will those be gone? Thanks!

In my case the only big thing that comes to mind is blackberry maps upgrade has local seach feature. But there is also some additional functionality in email (receipt confirmation), calendar (invites) and contacts (vcards).

.... And it is not difficult to do. Just set aside and hour or so (much more if you are on a dial-up connection), and follow the directions.

I personally do not know a reason why not. DM will back up your blackberry and reload applications and data after the new OS is loaded. I don't use jivetalk or gmail, but all my thirdparty apps were reloaded ok. But search if you want to be sure.
