Is anyone using Sprints 8703e with wayfinder navigation software? I know it works with verizons using an external gps but wondering if it works with sprints gps enabled system. The company doesnt know and YES i know i can try the software myself free, but dont like loading and unloading software on the system to "try" , if anyone has tried it already let me know please

Have you been able to get the Wayfinder to work on a 8703e with an external GPS?

I just tried to download it, and it told me it was not compatible.

For those who have been trying, WayFinder does not work with 8703. I have been trying to get their support team to enable the product to download, but they can't figure out how to download the blackberry files directly to the 8703 without using SMS messaging. Also, their ALX doesn't support the 8703. They seem to have 1 mode of downloading and that's it. There is another GPS piece of software that seems to work, called HelloWorld.

That is the only software I have managed to get working on the 8703 and is only ok with showing maps. Directions and turn by turn doesn't exist in this software. Does anyone know of any other software out there that will work with the 8703 on Sprint?

I got the Wayfinder to work on my 8703e from Verizon with a Holux GPSlim 240. It work beautifully for a couple of months, then all of a sudden bubkuss, it stopped working. I wiped the BB and rest and reinstalled everything, still cannot get it to work. The BB pairs with the GPS just fine. Does anyone know where I can get a later version of firmware for the 8703e than the the v4.1.0.377??
