All the sudden my BB (8330, Verizon, OS 4.5.077) only seems to have about a weeks worth of text messages stored. (I keep the inboxes separate). Has this always been the case? Did something change? Can I change it? I want it to keep 30 days worth.

How long do you have it set to save them for?

In a Message list, press the Menu button. Go to Options > General Options, then Scroll down to Keep Messages and set it to whatever you want.

Be aware that if you let your free memory get below about 12 million, you will see messages being deleted.

Its set to 30 days. maybee it dropped memory. Its been running really slow.

Look in Options >Status and post the number next to file free.

when I checked after I posted, it was down to 20mb. Deleted a few things, did a hard reboot and it was back to 40mb. Just fwiw, I run Facebook, JiveTalk, and WeatherEye all the time.

20MB free should be fine, but I have seen some lose the SMS and call logs at 20MB free, before.

Wow really?... I am down to 22MB.. I thought you lose stuff when it gets to zero. That doesn't make sense why you would lose stuff at 20MB... :(
