Default Calendar Trouble

Please Login to Remove!

I would like to be able to create an event on my calendar, add an invitee, have them accept the event and have it show up in their calendar and vise versa - I would like to have someone create an event on their calendar, invite me (through the calendar) and me be able to accept the event and have it automatically added to my calendar.

I only have on email address set up on my phone (a hotmail address), and I don't use Microsoft outlook. Is outlook a requirement for me to have set up in order to use this function?

Thanks

No, you can do this without Outlook.

When adding a meeting to your calender, just hit the menu key and select "Invite Attendee". Outlook isn't necessary.

That's exactly what I'm doing and it's not working. I've called into tech support and they have told me that I need to set up outlook. Any thoughts on how to fix this problem?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

Outlook has nothing to do with it. You just need to be sending to and from any BIS setup email address.

I just tested what you are saying by setting an appointment in HOTMAIL then inviting G-MAIL as well as my internet carrier e-mail.

I did the same thing from G-MAIL.

I did the same thing from my internet carrier e-mail.

All three invitations showed up all three were accepted and all three were marked on their respective calenders?

Can you maybe be a little more specific as to what you are experiencing or not experiencing?

Hi David,

I go into my calendar
Select a date
Create an event
select "invite attendee"
select the name
hit save

The person that I sent the invite to receives the invite as an email (no times listed, just the title of the invite and the date) and has to enter it into their calendar on their own.

When someone sends me an invite it shows up in my inbox on the computer, but not on my phone.

Thanks in advance
