Default VZW to AT&T?? Wife wants iPhone, Help!

Please Login to Remove!

OK, here is my story and I need some advice.

I have been on VZW for about 4 years. No compliants except I'm tired of year old BB technology, crippled BB's, and occasional travel outside the US. Otherwise service is fine.

My Wife is also on VZW and hates them. They jerked her around on an upgrade. Anyway, she wants a fricken iPhone and that means moving to AT&T.

Now, I like the move because I can get the curve and the occasional outside the US coverage. Plus, the calls to between us are free and we have the carryover minutes which would save us some cash. Yes, I'm willing to pay the early contract penalty. I have an 8703e which is near death, so a new BB is near in my future. My only fear is the AT&T service is as good as VZW. Remember, I have not had any call quality issues and I'm in sales so that is important. Talked to allot of my friends here in the Chicago area and they said that they have no issues with AT&T. Makes me feel a little better.

So, here is my decsion that I need help with. Do I join up with my wife at AT&T or do I just stick it out with VZW?

I have no issues making the jump, I just dont want regrets about quality.

only you can answer those questions. I know thats not what you want to hear.

I would do this sign her up with an iphone use it for the trial period if you like it and you have good coverage switch but i would personally check out the coverage before I switched.

yes the sales reps have a very accurate tool to check coverage much better than online. just have some addresses you go to work home important clients

I respectfully disagree with dawg about using iphone as a barometer to test. blackberry and nokia tend to get best reception, iphone isnt bad but i wouldnt use it to base reception. just from what I have experienced in my market

Unfotunately ezrunner is correct. My pearl has much better reception than the iphone, IN MY HOUSE of all places. I walk outside with the iphone and i'm cool but inside is a mixed bag of nuts. That's the reason I went back to my pearl. I work from home often so calling clients on my mobile is a must.

Anyone looking to buy an iphone, pm me

If your gonna pay 400 (iphone) 175 x2 early termination plus 200 for a curve is it worth it?? I would at least wait out the early termination fee's

I do remeber their used to websites that swap cell providers so you don't pay an early termination. But I never used one though I did see this on the news a while back.

To pay close to 400 to change to an iphone is a waste of money imo.

The above afvice is good I belive its 15 days refund on eqipment 30 no early termination fee to try most networks. Or 30 days for both find out first

I guess I didn't explain myself very very. What i meant is use the pearl to test reception since she is going to use the pearl. I am all for making sure the exact phone I am going to use is the one that works.

Why test drive a pinto if you plan on buying a Lincoln
