Default Olive Tree BibleReader on the 7100's and 8700's

Please Login to Remove!

Is anyone here using Olive Tree's BibleReader on their 7100's as well as the 8700's? I'm curious as to how quickly it runs on both as I am interested in purchasing either. I'm used to Laridian's PocketBible running on high-end Pocket PC's which runs quite quickly.

Hey Radimus-

I have never heard of Olive tree bible reader. Hopefully someone can provide some insight.

On a side note, please try to post only one thread on a particular subject. For instance two threads on Olive tree's bible reader could be on just one (asking how it works on the 8700 and 7100). This will keep all information condensed and easier to find. Thanks and look forward to finding out more about this application

Here is a link to the product I'm talking about:

olivetree.com/smartphone/blackberry/

You'll need to do a cut & paste due to the restriction on posting URLs

You may want to try Beiks as Dawg discovered Olivetree is missing portions of Paul's letters. Just do a search here and you'll find it. I like the new version of Beiks (v2.0) as it allows you to put footnotes to verses which is handy for quick reference.

Good point. I forgot that Olive Tree left stuff out. Then I'll rephrase the question. How responsive have people found Beik's or Laridian's Noah Bible Viewer on the 7100 and 8700 models. I would download the free demo, but installing anything on my 7780 has been an effort in futility of late. Too many PIM items, too much email, not enough memory.

Laridian's BlackBerry Bible software and Beiks's application are one and the same. The only translations available are the KJV, ASV, and NIV. I don't use any of those translations, so I haven't tested the app. I am a very long time user of Laridian's PocketBible for PocketPC.

I have the Olive Tree Reader and God's Word Bible. I have found that the verse navigation is not as good as the OTR for my Sony Clie.

I use Beiks, the new version is easy to navigate and you can add footnotes to versus. It's all I use in Church these days...

I used to use Laridian for my pocket pc, I am looking into getting a bible for my blackberry soon, so this thread has been really helpful. I just have to save up to get the reader, and then the books, and all of that. Yikes.

How quickly does it run on your 7290? Does it pause a lot or is it pretty snappy?

How well does it work on the smaller screen in the 7100 series devices?
