Default BB8330 Tethering with Verizon

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting my first Mac this week. I have the Verizon tethering option on my account. What software do I need to use the phone as a modem? I don't need to sync just use the modem feature.

Any tips or directions would be nice. I see some threads on here but most deal with the needs for the syncing software.

Not familiar with Mac but VZW has the software on the CD that came with your BB 8330 to do tethering. You may wish to contact VZW support if you cannot use the included CD on your MAC.

Good luck.

WFLDeng611 what version of the VZAccess Manager are you running? I don't see ver. for Mac.

Just joined today, had 8330 for a month now and I love the info provided by forum members. Hope to be able to return the favor someday

Click on the link for VZAccess Manager > Click Download now. There will be a drop down menu asking which OS you are running. Click the appropriate OS and you are on your way

I was never able to get the Access Manager to work with my 8330. What did work though is connecting it via Bluetooth and then using the Bluetooth connection though the Blackberry to get a connection. There is another post that details it very well with a video. I did that, and it worked great.

I've been tethering via bluetooth.

When I choose the drop down it asks what device i am using and only offers Motorola Q. Will that work with my 8130? Did you have to specify what device when you downloaded your VZAccess Manager for Mac?
