Default How far can Vodafone be beaten up?

Please Login to Remove!

Now that the Bold stocks seem to be coming through, it's time to get my boxing gloves on and play the old 'request PAC and negotiate' game.

Scenario is that I've been with them 10yrs, currently on £35/m for 500m, 250txt, and contract expired.

Clearly I want to beat them up to get more than anyone else could offer me as a new customer bringing two accounts to them. Does anyone know if Orange's deal of £40 for 700m, 250txt and unlimited data is the lowest out there at the moment?

I guess that is what your other thread is for? it depends what your looking for, mins or txt? Vodafone was always the better of the companies if a little more expensive; at least you know your going to have a decent signal though.

I just left vodafone. I was paying £25 for 600 minutes. I was then paying £15 for BIS. And another £7.50 for unlimited web access. So £47.50. I should emphasise that this was a SIM only contract - so I didn't get a free phone!

I've just bought a bold off eBay (£270). I also got a Simplicity SIM from O2. For £20 I have 600 minutes and 1000 texts and BIS and unlimited web access. With Simplicity I can cancel the contract at any time with one month's notice.

So - I'm very happy to have left vodafone!

I'm no fan of them either, but have found that they respond to threats of leaving. Mind you, they aren't empty threats, as I'd happily walk if I dont feel looked after.

Try telling them you're going to move to that simplicity O2 deal I have and ask them to match it?

The other big reason I moved is I send a lot of SMS abroad. Vodafone charge 25p a text, O2 charge 12p. Which is a big enough difference if you send a couple of hundred texts a month!

Just got mine ordered - Vodafone received more stock 11:00 AM today so hurry.

900mins x network anytime
500 text
Unlimited e-mail
Unlimited Web (fair usage 3GB) ((Why don't they just say 3GB web use?))
Unlimited Landline calls (Fair Useage 3000mins)
Free Bold

£50 inc VAT

Where I live I can only get T Mobile and Voda so it limits my purchasing power/haggling
