Default BBweather not updateing automatically

Please Login to Remove!

I have BBweather on my pearl and it works great. But there is one problem, it does not update every 30 minutes like I have it set to. I always have to update it manually. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

You can DL version .75 from my tips site and ALT-space should update it. That was an added improvement.

Cool, thanks! I looked on my BB to see what version I had but it doesn't tell me. I downloaded mine from mobile phone link from 'the killer software' thread. Would that version be .74 or .75? Also, is there a mobile link where I can download it and have it automatically install/update from my phone rather than haveing to do with my computer?

What is it that keeps the BBweather from updateing automatically? is it the key lock or do you have to have the application window open at all times?

I have BBWeather v.74 and mine auto updates at the specified time. I changed mine from the default 30 minutes to 120 minutes since I don't really need it constantly being updated...drains the battery quicker.

I tried installing it today but there is a problem. I need to make a new profile and when I hit the option/menu key it doesn't do anything in BBweather .75. Inotherwards, I can't pull up the menu for options and to create a new profile.

Hmm, I just today upgraded mine from .74 to .75, and have full use of the options menu to create a new profile.

On a full qwerty keyboard, Alt-space refreshes. Don't know how this works on the Pearl. Please chip in. If you harving install issues with the Pearl, see my Pearl tips doc.

No no...The bug lies in a FRESH install of BBweather .75, not with upgradeing from .74. Lets say that you never had BBweather on there before so NO profile or any app data is there for the application. Then you install BBweather .75... since there is no profile and app data it freezes up and does not allow you to pull up the menu to create the data. The only thing I can do is Power down and reboot. I did not have this problem with .74.

If that is the case then, install .74, set your profiles, etc., get it working like you desire, and then install .75. See if that works.
