They said they only support there own mapping software
Is there any way to fix this on the blackberry

I'm on T-Mobile and can't get more than diagonal lines either...

I read on another forum that one has to ring up and confirm that the BB service has been set up properly. I did this and it hasn't helped yet...

I also downloaded Google Maps Google Maps and, once you have set the data access permissions, it works fine.

If you really want to use some mapping doftware on a BlackBerry then BlackBerry Maps is not the best. I'd take a look at TelMap.

Default Maps on Blackberry

I am also on Orange Blackberry. I would not bother with Blackberry maps as I am also unable to get it working but use Google Maps instead.

If you are a real saddo (like me) you can set the maps up and the go walkabout and watch yourself moving on the map.

It eats battery power though so I switch the application off when not in use.

If you mean BB Maps, you might want to make sure you have your APN set:

Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP -> APN.

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum so I apologise in advance if I 'jump in' too hard.

I found this thread via a Google search as I was having the same problems with BlackBerry Maps on Orange UK but following the advice re TCP, I set my APN as 'orangeinternet' and turned of my wi-fi connection and now have access to actual maps rather than the dreaded diagonal lines.

I only hope this helps someone else.
