I upgraded an unactivated/unlocked 8800 from 4.1 to 4.5. Had been having problems trying to do an wireless activation as it would immeditaley give me an error message after I entered the password and selected "Activate".
So, I tried to upgrade to 4.5. Downloaded carrier specific OS from Blackberry and the Desktop Manager detected the device and the upgrade went smoothly,
less no EA option available now.
Tried turning off/on device and removing battery
Tried wiping the device
It is connected to the EDGE service and I can connect to the Internet.
We do not have the BES in country, it is at another location and we are only allowed to do wireless activation.
Any ideas how to get EA back?
