This is a known problem that has been reported before. From what I have read there have been some Bolds that seem to have a loose battery and the fix was placing a folded paper in the battery compartment to stop the battery moving. Other people have had luck by simply upgrading their OS.

it works only if you connect it to the computer and open the desktop manager, but once you disconnect it it would restart all over again.

Thats sounds like the loose battery issue since it works fine when its getting power from the cable.

check for a loose battery. if that's not the case then update the OS. check and see if you have some bad beta software on there. i was having issues with twitterberry. I've since moved on to UberTwitter. no problems as of late. good luck my friend.

Do you have a Media Card? Was it used in a previous device? If so copy content to PC and delete everything. Then format in handheld and copy back only files. No folders or index files.

ok now mine is restarting with .266 software. I also have a co-worker who is having the issue too with a brand new phone from ATT with .266.

The back casing seems somewhat loose so maybe the battery is disconnecting for a split second. I think I'll try to stick a double sided piece of tape on the casing to make it more snug. You would think they would put a small pad inside the case to keep this from happening.
