hi all,

I just moved to BB from iPhone and I am trying to set it up correctly.

I am using T-Mobile, but my Bold 9000 is AT-T branded. It was unlocked by AT-T over the phone with the code.

I have a data plan for T-Mobile for $30. I called T-Mobile, asked them to set me up for a Blackberry plan, but I only have EDGE displayed on my screen now.

Does anyone know how do I enable it to work on T-Mobile 3G network?

edit: I searched the frequencies for T-Mobile and AT-T and could not find whether they are the same or not. Some say they are the same, some say they are not.

They are not the same and you will NOT get 3G on t-mobile with an AT&T 9000.

Any idea on where to look for the settings for T-Mobile to at least get EDGE to work? I assume BBM works on EDGE, right?

edit: I know I previously mentioned that I have EDGE working, but I just installed the OS from the pinned thread, and now it's not working.

You need a blackberry data plan.
Not a generic one, a BLACKBERRY one.

And then, yes BBM will work on EDGE.

ok, got it to work, I power cycled the phone, I guess T-mobile pushed their settings ...
