Default Can't Connect to Home Wi-Fi

When I attempt to connect to my home wi-fi network, I get the error message "Failed to associate with the network". How do I get past this? I had no problem setting it up for a laptop and ipod.

ShaDon, a couple of questions

1 - do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?
2 - what kind of security do you have on the home WiFi?

Yes I have a data plan.
I am using WEP 128 security on my home WiFi.
I disabled security and my BB could access so I tried WPA. Again no access!
My BB gives the same error message, "Failed to associate with the network". I checked the log file for my gateway/router, the entries when I tried to access with my BB were "Station MAC XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX - association failed - responding station does not support the specified authentication algorithm" I have a Siemens SE567 Residential Gateway

I am on the .246 platform. I also get this problem from time to time. Sometimes it connects and sometimes it does not. I have to connect manually. It takes a few tries until it makes a connection. It's annoying. I notice the problem when I come home or when I reboot the Torch. My guess is that it is the platform. I could be wrong though.

I'm sure all are using WEP connection for your home wireless router. I entered the WEP code and password associated with my router into my Torch (it was running the .246 OS at the time) and I have not had connection issues since. It connects when I get home, and it advises of WiFi detections when I'm out and about.

Has everyone entered their home WEP code and password into their torches?

You do know that WEP encryption was cracked quite some time ago. I'm not so sure "all are using WEP" as it is the least secure option available. But better than nothing.

I use WPA2. Upgraded to the latest OS from AT&T. It works a little better.
