Hi I am posting this out to help a friend.
She has received an email on her Blackberry(can't remember her model)
The police have asked her to send her the IP from the offending sender. So we need to be able to read the full header. We live in Canada, so the privacy laws may be different from most of you responders.

Its very important and my GF's personal safety is in jeopardy. Clarafying the email went to my GF's friend.

You need to view the e-mail on a computer to get that information.

forward it from a known IP address so you can determine the chain. In some systems they will forward the entire header including the original one. Sadly some systems do not but as dc/dc suggested it's the only way to try
