Default Blackberry Maps and Voice calls

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my new 8703e the other day and have been playing around with the map program from www . blackberry . com/maps . It works really great for me but have a question..

Let's say I have the map program running in the background and I recieve a call. The call will cut in and out of the conversation. I'm thinking that the map program is taking up too many CPU's or something..

Anyway, if there is no fix, how can I dump the map program when I'm on a call.. Anyway to do that?

Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Are you using GPS with it? It shouldn't be getting data while you are on the phone meaning maps. See my GPS page and tips sheet.

I have Sprint and yes I'm using the internal GPS.

The voice calls work fine as soon as I dump the maps program..

I'll take a look at your GPS info. Thanks

Then it is the GPS connection and not the data that is doing this. I think others have reported this too.
