Hi

I accidentally deleted an sms message that contained some very important info that I need to get Is there some way to retrieve it? An SMS log of some kind?

And, no, the person who sent it cannot send it again.

I don't have a backup on my pc. The last backup was just before I received the message. I'm on BIS.

Sorry it is gone, there is no log or server you might access.

You can undelete the message using this bit of software.

If the message was on your sim-card, I've seen hardware devices in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan. You slip your simcard into the device, press a button and it will undelete messages that were on your simcard.

Not expensive. About 2500 Yen.

I don't have any web page for this device, I might find one, if I looked but it would be in Japanese.

Try the software, is my first advice.

Thanks for that bit of info.

I'm not sure if it will work on the BB but the company that writes the software that you linked also manufactures a device to read SIMs (probably the same device - Infinity USB Unlimited - that you saw in Tokyo. I've ordered it along with the software and I'll know when the device is delivered next week.
