I have a BB 8100 it turns on sorta. When its turning on i get the hourglass thingy then it goes on for a minute screen goesblank little red light turns on then it goes back to the hourglass help.

I would take it to your nearest T-Mobile store so that it can be returned to the rightful owner.

Is this a brand new device, or have you had it for a while. If you just got it, take it back for a new one.

If you've had it for a while, try a hard reboot by removing/reinserting the battery.

Dude i dont know whats up with the phone like ive tried alot of stuff and it wont work plus i got the phone from my parents as it was left in the appartment building they run a few weeks after the person lefte and she didnt claim it so i guess it is just broken i mean i tried putting a sim card in it that did nothing so i shuld just toss it

Sounds like it's broken, and if it's not yours, and your parents have the forwarding address of the person who left it, then they should contact her to return it.
