Sat Nav probs

hi there,
kinda new to the blackberry world but having been using my 8700g well over the last while. Hwn i bought it from the service provider here in ireland (BT), i ordered it with Sat Nav (navig8) and it works well most of the time but on occassion the blackberry has FROZEN. It will not go back to the main menu or desktop in mid navigation when it freezes. To get the blackberry back to normal, you have to power it down by taking the battery out.
The sat nav works of a blue-i gps that i pop on the dashboard of the car well in sight of the sky.
question - is there anyway to stop it from FREEZING?
Your help and thoughts would be great!
