Default 8700 on verizon

If verizon came out with an 8700, what benifits would it have over the 7130e. Asid from the keyboard? Would it be worth it to upgade? And is it to early to answer these questions?

Default Form factor and screen

I think the screen and form factor are the two things that come to mind. The EVDO would be similar. I really prefer the full keyboard due to the shortcuts and the larger screen. Check out my tips. Look at the 7100 ones and compare them to the 8700 ones. You will see the home screen application shortcuts are missing on the 71xx. This frustrated me more than suretype. Also you can compose an email from the homescreen now on the 8700. Shortcuts, I am obsessed as least on a BB.

I agree with your assessment. If/when Verizon releases an 8xxx series I will switch from my 7130e provided its a solidly built unit.

I agree.... I do love my BB - but I really think I'd like the full keyboard... SureType is fantastic - but there's some hurdles that it just can't overcome due to the placement of letters - out & put - get & hey - these one always fudge me up.

You know over in the 7 series forum we should start a sure type word confusion thread! That could get interesting! Anyways I'll end up getting an 8700 on verizon when it comes out just because well gadget geek here and want a little more landscape and full keyboard (even though I love the quickness of suretype when it's right)
