I just got a 8330 from one of my friends. He left a company and they gave him his BB to keep for verizon service. It was linked to his work computer/calender/email etc..... how do I start fresh so that when i transfer it over to my number its completely blank and ready for me to use

Scroll to and select the Options icon.
Scroll to and select Security Options.

Scroll to and select General Settings.


Press the Menu key , then select Wipe Handheld.


The device is going to confirm that the data will be erased. Select Continue.
WARNING: A master reset will result in the loss of ALL user data!


Enter "blackberry" to confirm handheld wipe.

Just as an update to this..... or additional info (8330)

I had to go to General Settings, then scroll down to Services and click the trackball to get to the Wipe Handheld function.

Then confirm, followed by typing blackberry.

All wiped now.

Can send back clean!
