I have just got a new 9780 with OS6
When i try look up a contact in my contacts section, i typpe in the first letter of the contacts name and get all other sorts of contacts containing that letter.
Surely i should get the contacts starting with that letter and then sorting alphabetically from there.
For example i type in "s" but get names like Les coming up before my names starting with "S".
Please can someone help. This did not happen with the old software version.

The lookup searches for the letter the first name, last name, and company field. The more you type the closer you will get to your target.

What i am really looking for though is that if i tyoe the first letter of a name then the contacts starting with that letter should show up first
(and not other contacts that contain that letter somewhere in the name)

Try typing the letter of the first name, then a space and then the letter of the last name.
