Default vz access manager problem

Please Login to Remove!

My BB 8530 connects fine with theBB desktop software but I can not connect (tether) and use VZ access manager. It appears I am missing RIM virtual serial ports. I had no problem connecting to another conputer(no BB desktop software) but with the machine with BB desk top vz access mgr does not see the BB. I have removed and reloaded vz access manager soft ware, rebooted the phone but still no RIM virtual serial port.

Any suggestion?

This application is not currently supported by Research In Motion but read the info from Verizon. It does require very specific setup for the BB.

Which version of Access Manager are you using on which OS? And have you added the service from VZW? They charge extra to tether.

When I used an older version of Access Manager on XP, I had to open Blackberry Desktop before launching VZAccess Manager. If I didn't, VZAccess Manager would not see my BB. (At the time, I suspected it had something to do with mass storage mode, but never investigated - I just always launched desktop first.)

The current version of VZAccess Manager on my Win7 machine works without launching Desktop first.
