Default Upgrade using parallels?

Please Login to Remove!

This is my first upgrade and I'm having no end of problems. I'm finding that the Mac support for anything even relatively complicated is poor if possible at all (I kinda expected that even before my purchase). Parallels seems to suck the life out of trying anything (or maybe it is windows since I have not used it in 7 years). I'm trying vmware fusion now...if that doesn't work I guess I'll have to take one of my FreeBSD boxes and install XP on it for occasions that I want to upgrade. ...but I digress Has anyone successfully done an upgrade on a BB 8100 using parallels? Mine seems to hang on the "examining the JVM (or something similar) message when connecting for the first time. It seems to see it fine. I waited an hour and it never finished. I'm fully aware that I may be doing something wrong, as this is my first upgrade attempt and I just go the pearl (my first BB since the original nextel one) 2 days ago.

TIA,
nb

Forget Parallels, the USB and BB support is rubbish. You shouldn't have any problems with Fusion. See this thread.
