Default Anyone else have these questions?

Please Login to Remove!

1) I've noticed some programs have this annoying blue trim around programs, the suretype kb won't go away, and trying to select certian options doesn't work and is not touchscreen friendly...

anyone else having this problem, if so, any solution to fix it?

2) How would I go about getting pictures on the music player, some songs of mine have thumbnails when playing, others don't...I didn't upload any images when putting songs on my BB, so this struck me as odd...I know how song thumbs work, and I tried linking the files (by using folders), to no avail...

I am just importing using the drag and drop method...no media player or sync used...is this the problem?

Thanks in advance for the help

usually, when an application does that, you can go into Options->Advanced Options->Applications... highlight the application, click the BB button, and choose "Disable Compatibility Mode"

If the program was running (bold) when you make this change, you'll have to reset your device before you see the changes.. hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip, ronx. I've had these problems with a program or two that I installed just to see if they worked on the Storm. One was Flipside, which I loved to to listen to music on my 8830.

I've noticed with DataVault, after I upgraded to the Storm compatible revision, it still showed in Compatibility Mode. Once I disabled, it works great.

Not a big deal, but at first I didn't realize what was happening. In fact, I didn't know Compatibility Mode existed until then.

if you use itunes, you can add album art a number of ways... the easiest way is to make sure the album artwork mini-box is enabled in the bottom left corner... download artwork from somewhere like amazon.com. select the track(s) in itunes for the album art you saved from amazon, then drag the artwork .jpg file into the artwork mini-box. This will embed the artwork into each of the track(s) selected. You can then drag these tracks into your Storm and they will display the artwork when they play.

You can also use a program like Tag&Rename to quickly and easily tag (and grab artwork for) full albums. This isn't as useful if you tend to deal with individual tracks, as most of its features rely on recognizing entire albums.

I've heard the latest Media Manager handles artwork more gracefully than the previous one... i don't use Media Manager though. Much easier to drag and drop through the file system, IMHO.

I'm having the problem of some of my tracks go into the correct files in the media manager artist list but some are put into unknown in the artist list even thought the id3 tags are present and they were dropped into my BB in their original folder. Any ideas?

Awesome tip ronx! I was under the impression that the picture files were embedded within the song file, but I had no clue how to go about doing so...

thanks for the heads up!
