Default Blackberry Media Sync problems

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to sync my itunes library with my storm using BB media sync, but it will not let me sync the majority of my music due to "digital rights management" issues. Is there a way to allow songs which have these restrictions to be transferred to my BB? Also, all the songs I am trying to transfer were purchased from the itunes store. Thanks.

U can do this a fee ways one is you burn a cd with your mp3s that have the drm then you rp them which removes the drm or u can purchase software such as tunebite that removes drm or you buy drm free music. Hope this helps.

What does it mean to "rp" the cd? How are others transferring their itunes onto their storm?

And in the future I suggest purchasing your online music from amazon. Their music comes in the mp3 format and works great on your storm.

Amazon.com MP3 Downloads: Free music, bestselling songs from $.79, most albums $8.99 or lower. Compatible with MP3 players, including the iPod®.

This has been a real killer for me. Finally decided to get rid of the 5 year old iPod and start putting music on my new 8900.

Over half my iTunes library wouldn't copy It took me awhile to figure out it was DRM related since I don't really rip DVD movies or anything like that.

I've heard about people fighting against DRM, but never paid much attention... now I really see why though. It's damn infuriating that the music I PAID FOR cannot be played on a device I OWN.

ridiculous!!!

Has anyone had any success with programs that get rid of the DRM issues? If so, which programs work the best using a PC? Thanks.

Requiem has worked for me, though I forget if it's also on the p.c. Also +1 for getting Amazon instead of iTunes. I only get DRM'd stuff as a last resort now. Try eMusic, Amazon, then iTunes.

Are these programs able to convert your entire library while keeping song quality and other qualities such as album art?

Why not just use Rhapsody/VCast?

I haven't really messed around with multimedia on my storm yet, but form what I understand, rhapsody is the way to go?

Rhapsody is not free. Putting your own music on the phone would be.

I'm talking about the people complaining about not being able to transfer the music that they purchased on iTunes because the s\files are locked...

And if you download from amazon, can you download the music straight to your blackberry?
